There arent many scenario paintball games round by me, i usually just play on normal days with rentals and a few own gunners with a mix of Angels/Tipmans etc. Im looking for an assault rifle replica (i know alot of A5's are the base for these).

Bear in mind my AR will be hopper fed and preferably with some sort of auto feed attached to the marker rather than having a massive auto feed hopper - what kit should i be looking at and whats a ballpark figure for how much it would cost for each component?

I would be looking for a long barrel, silencer, Eotech sight, M4 shroud and fake mag attachment, positional stock for CQB & range? I would also prefer to use Air and have this fed from the vest to the weapon. Can you buy these complete from anywhere? how difficult is it to do the modifications yourself?

How much is all of this? im a complete newbie when it comes to custom stuff, my current marker was straight out of the packet and ive never looked at modifying it at all.

Welcome to the forum mate

I'll be able to give a more indepth answer to your question with cost break down and places to look in the next few days. But if your looking to kit out propperly marker fully blinged, tac vest, fibre air bottle etc. I would say you'd be looking around the £800 mark and that'd still leave alot of gear off the list.

For reliability and I would suggest a X7, X7 Phenom or A5. I've recentally got a X7 and modded it to a carbine look. The X7 you should be able to pick up off of a forum for a good price and it'll probabley have some mods on it aswell. This'll save you a good chunk of cash to start off with.

A decent load out can set you back as much as the marker but you'll always have a grin on your face once you've kitted up

nice one, thanks for that info. I've been looking at the X7 just because it looks very customizable. I dont mind about the cost, its something i'll do over time anyway. Ive been playing speedball for so long now i like being a bit more tactical about play and i just know when ive got my 3 hole balaclava, black battlevest, belted T8 and my M4 replica i'll be loving it!

I'll have a look on tipmans website about the customization of the X7 and try to price up how expensive this speedball - milsim will be. I do have some speedball gear i can sell to get into this though

Ive just had a look on Rap4 who seem to have alot of the mods available for the X7 phenom but then i noticed the T68 which already looks exactly like what im after! Is this any good? Its half the price of the X7 + attachments so im guessing there is a good reason why nobody here has one..

I also love the AK looking T68, looks great! might get that as a second marker in a few years just to have a play around with, looks fun.

I want something reliable, easy to clean/use and accurate so please give me honest opinions on all the markers im looking at. Cheers

Don't get a T68!

For something that's easy to maintain & realiable the A5/X7 are what you want though their accuracy over range is only ok. The new X7 Phenom is meant to have really good accuracy and does off you both electro and manual trigger pull. Their too new to make any real comments on reliability. Though if their anything like the other Tippmanns build quality should be fine and their support is very good. That and there is a mountain of mods available.
