Hi Sheperd,

Welcome to the forum

I'm not too sure what you mean by special weapon?

No real rule if you have it use it :)

We sometimes use maroons/pyros to simulate IED or mine strikes.

Launchers have never really been workable.

Zamo tried to use a claymore one time but that didn't work and as yet no ones had a mine.

How about your team what and how do you use your special weapons?

Developing a bunch of ideas that fall into the 'booby-trap' category for our tactical games. Have experience of the 12-bore blank-firers, but without some special attention they sometimes need a fairly hefty tug on the line to set them off - not the best if you're up against ultra-suspicious devious gits :D
You say launchers have never really been workable, have you tried any M203-based set-ups, for example launching nerf rounds as anti-armour or anti-bunker weapons? Seems like a more realistic use of them compared to the one-shot shotguns they are as standard? I ask since I've just got hold of one, and that's what I intend to try with it, if I can source the projectiles

i'm pretty sure someone had the nerf rounds but i dont recall seeing them at the farm since i rejoined in 2007.

probably means they didn't work in our context cos we tend to use the same thing once we know and like it...

i could of course be on drugs and completely mistaken about nerfs at the farm tho... are they blue? no, hang on, thats smurfs. is papa smurf james cameron?

I had a 203 with the Madbull .68x4 shells like you said Chilli it was nothing more than a fancy shot marker and for the weight and price the moneys better spent on a side arm.

After I'd gotten rid of it I have seen people use Nerf rounds with them though you'll have to trim the fins down a little to fit it in the barrel. I have seen some pretty serious range with them used like that.

They could be useful against vehicles or bunkers though I'd rather use one of those LAWs that use the gas rounds that'd be quite fun :D

Yup, the Nerf round as anti-structure does appeal, though I've now discovered you really need the long barrel version, and this is the short one - grrrrr. In terms of range, you can achieve some terrifying distances when running the shells at high pressure, but doing this without some mods will result in terminal deformation of some parts, effectively killing the shell. A few tweaks, and a reliable 900psi is doable, though not advisable from a safety POV.

I've used the shotgun the last weekend and i really liked it, ultra light and cool tu use.
Everybody was arond me asking what it was and how cool it look.

I even had trouble with refere who thought the canon was on top and where asking me to put a barrel condom on it.
One refere even grab the condom to "replace" it on the longer barel but after a big 2 minut of arguing he finaly under stand that i put the balls on the upper barel.
