Yeah I just mentioned the 14" as in testing that had been found to be the optimal length. I myself use the 8" so as to have a shorter more compact marker. It's better for using out of vehicles and close quarters :)

Don't know what they are? One upgrade worth getting is the metal ratchet for the cyclone as the stock ones can break especially if your running auto.

the lightening rod is on rap4 they are under upgrades. i think they are with the bit you recommended i got pretty sure its made by techt, as i said ive had mixed reviews about it as i hear some things companys try to shift makes no difference whatsoever which makes it hard to determine what good or not.

The Lightening Rod is a TechT cyclone 'upgrade', replaces the stock piston-rod with an aluminium rod complete with a little copper bushing instead of just a hole for the pin that joins it to the Ratchet (if you follow me). They say it can make your cyclone faster as 'it reduces friction at the ratchet pin' but more likely just reduces the risk of a piston rod snapping (and when have you ever heard of that happening?!). Anyways, my A5 hated all and any of the TechT cyclone ups, wouldn't feed at all with any of them installed, so went back to stock, and have the full set of TechT ups, (minus the squishy paddles, which I do use) sitting doin nowt. Up for sale on our team forum just now, will likely move to the sale section of UKS if it doesn't shift. I would say if you're worried about reliability, get a metal ratchet-axle combo, as they are the bits that fail most in stock form, and while there are many companies make them (Lapco, Rap4, Ultimate Force, JCS etc), the TechT ones are usually touted as the highest quality, but that goes hand in hand with also being the most expensive! Different strokes for different folks, but speaking personally, my A5 works best with stock cyclone internals. But then, it is a picky wee sod!

Excellent review mate that's just the advice I wanted as I said I'd heard mixed reviews about them but that sounds like the most logical advice I was gunaget the kit instead of just the bush and ratchet but I think I will just get those bits now, chers for that Info much appreciated.

Before buying that stuff you can try modding your original parts: http://milsimempire.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=3189&p=33607&hilit=ratchet+saver#p33607

Yea that makes sense, but I'd rather buy something knowing it's been put together buy someone who proberly knows what he's doin whereas stripping my x7 is still fairly new to me letalone building my own parts. But for peps who have the time and the knowhow they could save themselves a tonne of money in the long run.
